What types of sound proof pool filter covers are available and which one is best for you?

There are a few different types of sound proof pool filter cover available here at the Acoustic Box.

Standard’ enclosure means that it has a rear panel. A backless’ enclosure does not have a rear panel – but has 2 ‘wall strips’ and a ‘horizontal bridge’ ‘in lieu if the rear panel. Pls click here for pictures

Backless enclosures are an alternative when the equipment is located within 50mm of a wall. In such cases, The Acoustic Box offers a backless variant of each model, with most of the back section (against the wall) free for equipment/pipes/electricals etc to be located. Please note, backless enclosures add 50mm to the depth.

Backless boxes utilise 2 ‘wall strips’ which connect the enclosure to the wall, with a ‘horizontal bridge’ affixed to the top of the wall strips to ensure the system is fully enclosed. The wall strips should be attached to the wall, and 3 locations are available along the height of the wall strip to affix to the wall. The wall strips are 115mm wide (the part that is affixed to the wall) and are located on each side of the box.

The benefits of having a pool filter cover

By installing a pool pump enclosure around the motor not only keeps the area tidy but it also provides acoustic insulation. This can dramatically reduce noise pollution and help save money by reducing energy costs. Additionally, pool pump enclosures also help to keep water clean by keeping the equipment out of direct contact with rain or other contaminants in the environment. This helps prevent erosion and further damage to parts like impellers and seals which can lead to permanent pump failure. Keeping your pool pump equipment safe is a great first step toward protecting your family from pool related accidents and injuries.
