Noise pollution is a real issue, and it can be particularly bothersome when it comes from a pool pump. Not only is the noise itself annoying, but it can also disturb your peace and quiet. If you live in an area where there are strict noise ordinances, it's important to take steps to reduce the noise levels from your pool pump. A sound proof pool pump enclosure is one way to do this.
Most council's and compliance laws encourage a pool pump enclosure be in place before it's classed as complaint. In fact, Acoustic Box sound proof pool pump enclosures will help you achieve compliance with your local council so that it can be classed as a 'noise-free' pool pump.
There are a few different types of sound proof pump enclosures available here at the Acoustic Box.
A ‘Standard’ enclosure means that it has a rear panel. A ‘backless’ enclosure does not have a rear panel – but has 2 ‘wall strips’ and a ‘horizontal bridge’ ‘in lieu if the rear panel. Pls click here for pictures
Backless enclosures are an alternative when the equipment is located within 50mm of a wall. In such cases, The Acoustic Box offers a backless variant of each model, with most of the back section (against the wall) free for equipment/pipes/electricals etc to be located. Please note, backless enclosures add 50mm to the depth.
Backless boxes utilise 2 ‘wall strips’ which connect the enclosure to the wall, with a ‘horizontal bridge’ affixed to the top of the wall strips to ensure the system is fully enclosed. The wall strips should be attached to the wall, and 3 locations are available along the height of the wall strip to affix to the wall. The wall strips are 115mm wide (the part that is affixed to the wall) and are located on each side of the box.

“We recently started using Pool Filter Covers from The Acoustic Box™ – and there’s certainly no turning back for us. It literally takes a few minutes to put together –not to mention the great prices and service… and we’re also saving money on assembly costs. Needless to say, even our Plumber is ecstatic he doesn’t have to spend an hour or more assembling a box and fiddling with nuts & bolts. We have no hesitation recommending The Acoustic Box to other Pool Builders and Pool suppliers”
“The Acoustic Box ticks all the boxes! They come in a great range of size and colour options and are well built and very easy to assemble. For our third pool we new what we needed out of our enclosure. In our view the Acoustic Box is way ahead of the competition for the price. Other enclosures have a centre rail and pole to hold up the lid when open therefore greatly limiting access into the enclosure. The Acoustic box has been designed with a strut lid and no centre rail which is simply far superior for access. Other enclosures also have a flat lid which can hold water after rain and the paint peels off over time. The Acoustic box has a slightly sloped lid to avoid this problem. Well done Simon and the team we love our Acoustic Box!”
“Love our new Acoustic Box, the pool now looks neat and tidy and the filter noise level is almost non-existent. Highly recommend”
