Backless enclosures are an alternative when the equipment is located within 50mm of a wall. In such cases, The Acoustic Box offers a backless variant of each model, with most of the back section (against the wall) free for equipment/pipes/electricals etc to be located. Please note, backless enclosures add 50mm to the depth.
Backless boxes utilise 2 ‘wall strips’ which connect the enclosure to the wall, with a ‘horizontal bridge’ affixed to the top of the wall strips to ensure the system is fully enclosed. The wall strips should be attached to the wall, and 3 locations are available along the height of the wall strip to affix to the wall. The wall strips are 115mm wide (the part that is affixed to the wall) and are located on each side of the box.
